Programs for Little Ones (Ages 0 to 5)
Fridays at 10am
Ages 0 to 3
Little ones and their caregivers are invited to read, sing, move, play, and have fun! The program is designed specifically with little learners in mind.
Tuesdays at 10am
Ages 2 to 5
Storytime for preschoolers and their caregivers! Books, songs, stories, movement, and fun come together for a super-charged half hour of Early Literacy learning.
Move & Groove
Wednesdays at 10am
January 3rd, February 7th, and March 7th
Best for 18 months and up
Bring your dancing shoes to this fun musical program! We’ll have shaky eggs, scarves, drumsticks, bubbles, and more as we dance, move, and learn together.

January 17th, February 21st, and March 21st
Ages 3 to 6
Explore the wonders of the world together with your child at these fun interactive stations. We’ll start by discussing the theme together and then have fun exploring different related activities.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten Party

Are you already part of the 1000 Books program? Would you like to be? Have you finished already? Are you in the middle of it? All are welcome to this re-launch of the program with a special story-time and fun crafts and activities. Let’s get reading!
Wednesday, January 31st at 10am
Enjoy the nostalgia of a drive-in movie with none of the sound problems. Everyone will make a car or vehicle from a box and then drive them into our program room to watch a short age-appropriate film. Boxes and decorating materials provided.
Programs for Older Kids (Grades K-5)

Build something awesome with LEGOs! Your creation will be displayed at the library until next month’s club. LEGOs will be provided by the library; please leave your personal collection at home.
Discovery Kids: Full STEAM Ahead!

Come explore, discover, and learn the wonders of science and engineering in our monthly hands-on science club.
Tuesday-Thursday, January 2nd – 4th at 2pm
Get out of the house and come do some awesome art at the library. We’ll be making clay charms, painting canvases, and building a replica of Three Rivers with recycled materials.
Tuesday, February 13th at 4pm
Drop in any time between 3:30pm and 5pm to make valentines for your family and friends.
Tuesday, March 13th at 4pm
Design a key chain or backpack charm using Shrinky Dinks. We’ll provide the materials; you provide the imagination.
Wednesdays from 1/10 to 1/31 at 3:30pm
Learn to hand sew various projects: we’ll be making pillows, a reading buddy, a bag, and more. The only thing you need to bring is your imagination and your patience. All other materials will be provided.
Captain Underpants Party

Tra-la-laaaaaaaaa! There’s no super-hero quite like Captain Underpants! Crafts, games, and activities will be part of the celebration of this unusual hero.

Join Bedtime Math’s Crazy 8s where you’ll build stuff, run, jump, make music, make a mess… it’s a totally new kind of math club. You’ll do Glow-in-the-dark Geometry and compete in the Toilet Paper Olympics!
Harry Potter Party!

Calling witches and wizards of all ages! Come celebrate the popular Harry Potter books and movies by joining us for an afternoon of Harry Potter-themed activities and crafts.
Babymouse and Squish Party

Decorate a cupcake in honor of Babymouse or make some slime that Squish would be proud of! There will be lots to do at our party inspired by two favorite graphic novel characters!
Make and Take Day!

Family Fort Night

If you’ve ever built a fort in your living room, this program is for you! Your family can build a blanket fort in the stacks, read together, and eat a snack (deconstructed s’mores!). Bring a blanket and let’s have fun!

Calling all royal highnesses (and any available knights!) to a royal tea party with majestic crafts, queenly games, and magnificent treats.
Teddy Bear Sleepover
Monday, February 19th at 5pm
Bring a stuffed friend to the library to listen to bedtime books, stories, and songs. Your stuffed friend is welcome to spend the night at the library – you can pick them up the next morning. Don’t forget to ask them about their adventures!
Saturday, February 24th at 10am
Do you have what it takes to be an everyday hero? Come make some firefighter crafts and try out our obstacle course. Best for ages 8 and under.
Family Fun Carnival Night
Monday, March 19th at 5pm
It’s carnival night at the library! Bring your whole family for free face painting and lots more. Try your hand at our carnival games, and win some prizes!
Fancy Nancy Tea Party
Saturday, March 24th, at 10am
Ooh la la! Gather up your fancy tutus, beads, and bows, and join us for a Fancy Nancy Tea party! We’ll be making fancy crafts, playing fancy games, and eating delectable (that’s fancy for yummy!) treats.
Thursday, March 29th from 1 to 3pm
Bring an empty egg shell (or two or three!) and decorate them with materials provided by the library. We’d like to display some of the masterpieces at the library, so bring an extra one to decorate and leave behind. Welcome, spring!
Program for Tweens (Grades 6-8)

Add color to your life with this easy tie-dye project. Backpacks and dye will be provided. You may also bring one white t-shirt from home if you’d like. Dress for mess!

Candy Sushi and TAG (Tween Advisory Group!)

Join us to make delicious candy sushi (all candy provided) and then stay to munch and be part of our Tween Advisory Group. TAG meets once a month to discuss books, movies, and other pop culture as well as vote on things you’d like to see at the library.

The plain t-shirt is plain no more! We’ll make bags and other fun things out of old t-shirts. All materials provided.
Tuesday, February 6th at 4pm
Bring your artistic eye (or just your willingness to have fun!) to this class and recreate Van Gogh’s The Starry Night on your very own canvas. Best part: you can take your masterpiece home to hang on the wall and treasure forever. We’ll be using acrylic paint, which doesn’t wash off, so make sure you come in clothes that can handle the project.

Delicious meets decathlon in a series of challenges all focused on everyone’s favorite food. Yes, there will be treats (and prizes!).
ESCAPE IF YOU CAN!! Escape Room

Grab your family and friends to form a cracker-jack team that can find clues, open locks, solve puzzles, and escape our first ever Three Rivers Library Escape Room! Stay tuned for more details and sign-ups.

Is fashion in your blood? This is your chance to design and create an outfit for a doll. These will then be displayed in the library. Bring your creativity and your patience—all dolls and materials for outfits will be provided.

Pick a peep and battle it out for peep-world domination! We’ll microwave them, build with them, and make peep s’mores.
