What you need to know about children's use of the library.

We hope that your visit to the Three Rivers Public Library Children’s Space is a pleasant one!

Please keep food and drinks to designated spaces.

Browse away! Please put any books you do not take home on the cart. We will put them back.

For our children’s safety, we ask that adults refrain from using the children’s floor for personal use.

Children aged 13 and older:
may use the library unattended.

Children aged 9-12:
may use the library unattended, provided that a responsible adult is in the building.

Children aged 8 and younger:
may not be left in any part of the library unattended.

Parents/legal guardians are responsible for their children’s safety and behavior while in the library or on library property.

The Library Code of Conduct applies to all ages. Please see the Library Policy for more information.

In case of emergency or at closing time,
please make sure your child knows how to contact you for pick up arrangements.

If a parent or caregiver cannot be reached in an emergency, for your child’s safety, the police will be contacted to assist in getting your child home.

Staff will not drive a child home.
