Library Card Information

Who Can Get a Card?

Residents located in the City limits of Three Rivers and Lockport Township service area can obtain library cards for free. Those living outside this area can still get an out of service area (OSA) card for an annual fee! Minors under eighteen (18) can apply for a juvenile card with a parent or legal guardian's signature. Furthermore, teachers from Three Rivers Community Schools can receive a teacher card, no matter where they reside.

How to Apply?

To acquire a card, it is essential to confirm your residency. This confirmation can be achieved through one of the following:

  • Valid Michigan Driver’s License

  • Valid Michigan ID card

  • Photo ID accompanied by a current paid property tax receipt.

In the absence of these documents, library staff will assess suitable identification and proof of residence based on at least two current paid receipts/legal mail that include your name and address.

Outside Our Service Area?

A nonresident fee is charged annually per household for those outside the service area, as follows. Each person within the household may have their own card.

  • For up to two individuals (single + 1) in one household: $50.00/year

  • For families of three or more in one household: $75.00/year

  • Seasonal cards are available for $30/4 months

My Card Isn't Working

Not to worry! Your card may just need a quick renewal! Remember, cards expire every year, and you can conveniently renew yours in person at the library.

What if I Lost My Card?
