Ongoing
Join the 100 Book Challenge for kindergarten to fifth grade! After getting your packet, read from our recommended lists and borrow books from Three Rivers or other Michigan libraries via MEL. Notify the circulation desk after finishing a book to mark your tally and select your next one. In your second year, claim a $5 Lowry’s gift card, complete all groups for a $10 gift card and your picture on the pillar of fame. (See FAQs details.)
1000 Books Before Kindergarten is an easy to manage take home program to help instill a love of reading in your little one. Click here for more info.


From November through April the library hosts the Three Rivers Area Playgroup on Wednesdays from 10:15 to 11:30 AM. From April through November, the group meets in the Children's Garden at the Huss Project. Playgroup gives children and their caregivers a place to play, learn, and connect with other families and learn about resources provided by the St. Joe Intermediate School District.

"Story Time with Mr. B" at the Three Rivers Public Library is every Tuesday at 11AM! It is a perfect opportunity for kids and families to gather for an enchanting session brimming with captivating stories and imaginative journeys. With Mr. B's lively storytelling style, every tale bursts to life, ensuring a fun-filled experience for young readers and grown-ups.
Musical Programs
With a grant from the Great Start Collaborative and partnerships with the Huss Project, the Carnegie Center for the Arts, and the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, the Three Rivers Public Library offers Musical StoryBooks each month from May through September.

Music Together
Music Together classes are offered with the support of Great Start for preschool families. Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music program offering pure musical fun for you and your child each week. Music Together teaching artists have backgrounds in music, education, child development, and/or music therapy. For more information about scheduling, contact Mr. B.
